Spot market electricity prices for Wednesday, Jan. 24

- Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data shows electricity market trade amounts to around 1.41 billion Turkish liras

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye's day-ahead spot market for Wednesday will be 2,700 Turkish liras at 6 p.m. local time (1500 GMT), according to official figures on Tuesday.

The lowest rate was set at 900 liras at 4 a.m. and 5 a.m. local time (0100 and 0200 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume for Wednesday's electricity market shows an increase of 30.9% to around 1.41 billion Turkish liras compared to Tuesday.

The arithmetical and weighted average electricity prices on the day-ahead spot market are calculated as 2,032 liras and 2,072.43 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour for Tuesday was set at 2,700 liras between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. local time (1400 - 1500 GMT), while the lowest rate was determined as 1,247.99 liras at 3 a.m. local time (0000 GMT).

US$1 equals 30.2 liras at 2.48 p.m. local time (1148 GMT) on Wednesday.
