Spot market electricity prices for Wednesday, Jan. 14

- Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data shows electricity market trade volume amounts to 2.1 billion Turkish liras

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye's day-ahead spot market for Wednesday will be 3,400 Turkish liras between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m. local time (0400-1900 GMT), according to official figures released Tuesday.

The lowest rate was set at 2,599.99 liras at 3 a.m. local time (0000 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for Wednesday's electricity market trade volume showed an increase of 1.2% to around 2.1 billion liras compared to Monday.

The arithmetical and weighted average prices for electricity on the day-ahead spot market are calculated at 3,248.08 liras and 3,562.34 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price on the day-ahead spot market for one megawatt-hour on Tuesday was set at 3,400 liras at between 7 a.m. and 2 p.m., and 4 p.m. and 9 p.m. (0400-1100, 1300-1800 GMT), while the lowest was set at 2,562.34 liras at 3 a.m. and 4 a.m. local time (0000-0100 GMT), the data showed.

US$1 equals 43.17 liras at 2.15 p.m. local time (1115 GMT) on Tuesday.
