Spot market electricity prices for Wednesday, Jan. 12

- Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data shows electricity market trade amounts to 786.71 million Turkish liras

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour in Turkiye's day-ahead spot market for Wednesday will be 1,344.99 Turkish liras at 09.00 and 10.00 local time (0600 and 0700 GMT) while the lowest will be 800 liras at 04.00 and 05.00 local time (0100 and 0200 GMT), according to official figures on Tuesday.

Turkiye's Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume on Tuesday's electricity market showed an increase of 14.5% to 786.71 million liras compared to Monday.

The arithmetical and weighted average price of electricity on the day-ahead spot market is calculated as 1,106.54 liras and 1,116.44 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price for one megawatt-hour on the day-ahead spot market for Monday was set as 1,340 liras at 09.00 local time (0600 GMT), with the lowest at 729.99 liras at 04.00 local time (0100 GMT).

US$1 equals 13.85 Turkish liras at 1127 GMT on Tuesday.
