The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye's day-ahead spot market for Wednesday will be 3,400 Turkish liras at 8 a.m., 9 a.m. and between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. local time (0500, 6800, 200-1600 GMT), according to official figures released Tuesday.
The lowest rate was set at 1,614.90 liras at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), the data showed.
The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for Wednesday's electricity market trade volume showed a decrease of 20.1% to around 1.67 billion liras compared to Tuesday.
The arithmetical and weighted average prices for electricity on the day-ahead spot market are calculated at 2,723 liras and 2,733.37 liras, respectively.
The highest electricity price on the day-ahead spot market for one megawatt-hour for Tuesday was set 3,400 Turkish liras at between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. and between 4 p.m. and 9 p.m. local time (0500-0800, 1300-1800 GMT), while the lowest was set at 2,517 liras at 2 a.m. local time (2300 GMT), the data showed.
US$1 equals 43.50 liras at 2 p.m. local time (1100 GMT) on Tuesday.
