Spot market electricity prices for Wednesday, Feb. 25

- Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data shows electricity market trade volume amounts to 1.68 billion Turkish liras

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye's day-ahead spot market for Wednesday will be 3,375 Turkish liras at 7 p.m. local time (1600 GMT), according to official figures released on Tuesday.

The lowest rate was set at 1,442.39 liras at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for Wednesday's electricity market trade volume showed an increase of 17.2% to around 1.68 billion liras compared to Tuesday.

The arithmetical and weighted average prices for electricity on the day-ahead spot market are calculated at 2,544.84 liras and 2,589.63 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price on the day-ahead spot market for one megawatt-hour for Tuesday was set at 3,400 liras at 5 a.m., 6 a.m., 6 p.m., and 7 p.m. local time (0200, 0300, 1500, 1600 GMT), while the lowest was set at 235 liras at 3 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), the data showed.

US$1 equals 43.85 liras at 2.16 p.m. local time (1116 GMT) on Tuesday.
