Spot market electricity prices for Wednesday, Feb. 22

- Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data shows electricity market trade amounts to 1.61 billion Turkish liras

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye's day-ahead spot market for Wednesday will be 3,650 Turkish liras at 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. (0500 and 0600 GMT) and between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. (1400 - 1700 GMT), according to official figures on Tuesday.

The lowest rate was set at 2,301 liras at 3 a.m. (0000 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume on Tuesday's electricity market showed an increase of 5.2% to 1.61 billion liras compared to Monday.

The arithmetical and weighted average electricity prices on the day-ahead spot market are calculated as 3,089.19 liras and 3,116.31 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour for Tuesday was set as 3,650 liras at 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. (0500 and 0600 GMT) and at 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. (1500 and 1600 GMT), while the lowest rate was determined at 2,050 liras at 6 a.m. (0300 GMT), according to official figures.

US$1 equals 18.87 liras at 2 p.m. local time (1100 GMT) on Tuesday.
