Spot market electricity prices for Wednesday, Feb. 18

- Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data shows electricity market trade volume amounts to 1.36 billion Turkish liras

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye's day-ahead spot market for Wednesday will be 3,400 Turkish liras at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. local time (1200 and 1600 GMT), according to official figures released Tuesday.

The lowest rate was set at 234.99 liras at 4 a.m. local time (0100 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for Wednesday's electricity market trade volume showed an increase of 64.5% to around 1.36 billion liras compared to Tuesday.

The arithmetical and weighted average prices for electricity on the day-ahead spot market are calculated at 1,998.64 liras and 2,117.10 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price on the day-ahead spot market for one megawatt-hour for Tuesday was set at 3,098 liras at 8 a.m. local time (0500 GMT), while the lowest was at 272 liras at 4 a.m. local time (0100 GMT), the data showed.

US$1 equals 43.73 liras at 2.21 p.m. local time (1121 GMT) on Tuesday.
