Spot market electricity prices for Wednesday, Dec. 7

- Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data shows electricity market trade amounts to 2.11 billion Turkish liras

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye's day-ahead spot market for Wednesday will be 4,800 Turkish liras between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. (0500 - 0800 GMT) and between 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. (1100 - 1600 GMT), according to official figures on Tuesday.

The lowest rate was set at 2,826.99 liras at 3 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume on Tuesday's electricity market showed an increase of 0.1% to 2.11 billion liras compared to Monday.

The arithmetical and weighted average electricity prices on the day-ahead spot market are calculated as 4,278.62 liras and 4,335.67 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour for Tuesday was set as 4,800 liras between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. (0500 - 0700 GMT) and between 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. (1200 - 1700 GMT), while the lowest rate was determined at 2,500 liras at 3 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), according to official figures.

US$1 equals 18.64 liras at 2.21 p.m. local time (1121 GMT) on Monday.
