Spot market electricity prices for Wednesday, Dec. 10

- Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data shows electricity market trade volume amounts to 1.86 billion Turkish liras

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye's day-ahead spot market for Wednesday will be 3,400 Turkish liras at 8 a.m., 9 a.m. and between 3 p.m. and 9 p.m. local time (0500, 0600, 1200-1800 GMT), according to official figures released Tuesday.

The lowest rate was set at 2,272.34 liras at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for Tuesday's electricity market trade volume showed an increase of 7.88% to around 1.86 billion liras compared to Monday.

The arithmetical and weighted average prices for electricity on the day-ahead spot market are calculated at 3,052.27 liras and 3,084.56 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price on the day-ahead spot market for one megawatt-hour for Tuesday was set at 3,400 liras at 5 p.m. local time (1400 GMT), while the lowest was set at 1,733 liras at 3 a.m. local time (0000 GMT), the data showed.

US$1 equals 42.57 liras at 2 p.m. local time (1100 GMT) on Tuesday.
