Spot market electricity prices for Tuesday, May 17

- Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data shows electricity market trade amounts to 1.12 billion Turkish liras

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Turkiye's day-ahead spot market for Tuesday will be 2,414.64 Turkish liras at 20.00 local time (1700 GMT), according to official figures on Monday.

The lowest rate is determined as 1,500.01 liras at 06.00 local time (0300 GMT), the figures show.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume on Monday's electricity market showed a decrease of 0.5% to 1.12 billion liras compared to Sunday.

The arithmetical and weighted average prices of electricity on the day-ahead spot market are calculated as 2,036.21 liras and 2,052.89 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour for Sunday was set as 2,499.99 liras at 16.00, 20.00 and 21.00 local times (1300,1700 and 1800 GMT), with the lowest rate determined as 1,199.99 liras at 10.00 and 11.00 local times (0700 and 0800 GMT), the figures showed.

US$1 equals 15.65 liras at 1134 GMT on Monday.
