Spot market electricity prices for Tuesday, March 21

- Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data shows electricity market trade amounts to 1.19 billion Turkish liras

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye's day-ahead spot market for Tuesday will be 3,050 Turkish liras at 8 a.m. (0500 GMT) and between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. (1500 and 1700 GMT), according to official figures on Monday.

The lowest rate was set at 1,725 liras at 10 a.m. (0700 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume on Monday's electricity market showed an increase of 8.1% to 1.19 billion liras compared to Sunday.

The arithmetical and weighted average electricity prices on the day-ahead spot market are calculated as 2,274.40 liras and 2,280.09 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour for Monday was set as 3,050 Turkish liras at 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. (0500 and 0600 GMT), while the lowest rate was determined as 1,075.35 liras at 3 a.m. (0000 GMT), according to official figures.

US$1 equals 19.01 liras at 2.07 p.m. local time (1107 GMT) on Monday.
