Spot market electricity prices for Tuesday, Mar. 17

- Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data shows electricity market trade volume amounts to 1.22 billion liras

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye's day-ahead spot market for Tuesday will be 3,227 Turkish liras at 8 p.m. local time (1700 GMT), according to official figures released Monday.

The lowest rate was set at 241.41 liras at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for Tuesday's electricity market trade volume showed a decrease of 28.7% to around 1.22 billion liras compared to Monday.

The arithmetical and weighted average prices for electricity on the day-ahead spot market are calculated at 1,954.48 liras and 1,957.38 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price on the day-ahead spot market for one megawatt-hour for Monday was set at 3,400 liras at between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. and between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. local time (0500-0800, 1500-1700 GMT), while the lowest was set at 1,418 liras at 3 a.m. local time (0000 GMT), the data showed.

US$1 equals 44.18 liras at 2 p.m. local time (1100 GMT) on Monday.
