Spot market electricity prices for Tuesday, Jan. 20

- Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data shows electricity market trade volume amounts to 2.04 billion Turkish liras

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye's day-ahead spot market for Tuesday will be 3,400 Turkish liras between 7 a.m. and 10 a.m., and between 4 p.m. and 9 p.m. local time (0400-0700, and 1300-1800 GMT), according to official figures released Monday.

The lowest rate was set at 2,250 liras at 4 a.m. local time (0100 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for Monday's electricity market trade volume showed an increase of 6.8% to around 2.04 billion liras compared to Sunday.

The arithmetical and weighted average prices for electricity on the day-ahead spot market are calculated at 3,059.18 liras and 3,071.17 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price on the day-ahead spot market for one megawatt-hour on Monday was set at 3,400 liras at 8 a.m., 9 a.m., and between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. local time (0500, 0600, and 1300-1600 GMT), while the lowest was at 1,655.01 liras at 4 a.m. local time (0100 GMT), the data showed.

US$1 equals 43.27 liras at 2 p.m. local time (1100 GMT) on Monday.
