Spot market electricity prices for Tuesday, Jan. 13

- Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data shows electricity market trade volume amounts to 2.1 billion Turkish liras

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye's day-ahead spot market for Tuesday will be 3,400 Turkish liras between 7 a.m. and 2 p.m., and 4 p.m. and 9 p.m. (0400-1100, 1300-1800 GMT), according to official figures released Monday.

The lowest rate was set at 2,562.34 liras at 3 a.m. and 4 a.m. local time (0000-0100 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for Tuesday's electricity market trade volume showed an increase of 6.6% to around 2.1 billion liras compared to Sunday.

The arithmetical and weighted average prices for electricity on the day-ahead spot market are calculated at 3,205.25 liras and 3,230.31 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price on the day-ahead spot market for one megawatt-hour on Monday was set at 3,400 liras at between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 2 p.m., and 5 p.m., 6 p.m. local time (0600-0800, 1000, 1100, 1400, 1500 GMT), while the lowest was set at 1,642.70 liras at 3 a.m. and 4 a.m. local time (0000-0100 GMT), the data showed.

US$1 equals 43.13 liras at 2 p.m. local time (1100 GMT) on Monday.
