Spot market electricity prices for Tuesday, Dec. 9

- Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data shows electricity market trade volume amounts to 1.72 billion Turkish liras

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye's day-ahead spot market for Tuesday will be 3,400 Turkish liras at 5 p.m. local time (1400 GMT), according to official figures released Monday.

The lowest rate was set at 1,733 liras at 3 a.m. local time (0000 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for Monday’s electricity market trade volume showed a decrease of 5.5% to around 1.72 billion liras compared to Sunday.

The arithmetical and weighted average prices for electricity on the day-ahead spot market are calculated at 2,825.12 liras and 2,885.95 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price on the day-ahead spot market for one megawatt-hour for Monday was set at 3,400 liras between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. and between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. local time (0500-0800 and 1100-1400 GMT), while the lowest was at 2,289.24 liras between 2 a.m. and 3 a.m. local time (2300-0000 GMT), the data showed.

US$1 equals 42.54 liras at 2.12 p.m. local time (1112 GMT) on Monday.
