Spot market electricity prices for Tuesday, Dec. 30

- Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data shows electricity market trade volume amounts to 1.83 billion Turkish liras

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye's day-ahead spot market for Tuesday will be 3,400 Turkish liras between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. and at 5 p.m., 6 p.m., and 9 p.m. local time (0400-0600, 1400, 1500, and 1800 GMT), according to official figures released Monday.

The lowest rate was set at 1,719.98 liras at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for Tuesday's electricity market trade volume showed a decrease of 10.2% to around 1.83 billion liras compared to Monday.

The arithmetical and weighted average prices for electricity on the day-ahead spot market are calculated at 2,850.95 liras and 2,867.76 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price on the day-ahead spot market for one megawatt-hour for Monday was set at 3,400 liras between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m., and 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. local time (0500-0800 and 1300-1600 GMT), while the lowest was at 2,300 liras at 1 a.m. local time (2200 GMT), the data showed.

US$1 equals 42.93 liras at 2.41 p.m. local time (1141 GMT) on Monday.
