Spot market electricity prices for Tuesday, Dec. 16

- Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data shows electricity market trade volume amounts to 1.94 billion Turkish liras

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye's day-ahead spot market for Tuesday will be 3,400 Turkish liras between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. local time (0500-0700, 1000-1200 GMT), according to official figures released Monday.

The lowest rate was set at 2,275 Turkish liras at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for Monday's electricity market trade volume showed an increase of 7.23% to around 1.94 billion Turkish liras compared to Sunday.

The arithmetical and weighted average prices for electricity on the day-ahead spot market are calculated at 2,976.73 Turkish liras and 3,000.61 Turkish liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price on the day-ahead spot market for one megawatt-hour for Monday was set at 3,400 liras at 8 a.m., 9 a.m., 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. local time (0500, 0600, 1300 and 1400 GMT), while the lowest was set at 1,719.99 Turkish liras at 4 a.m. local time (0100 GMT), the data showed.

US$1 equals 42.7 liras at 2.30 p.m. local time (1130 GMT) on Monday.
