Spot market electricity prices for Tuesday, Aug. 9

- Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data shows electricity market trade amounts to 1.64 billion Turkish liras

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye's day-ahead spot market for Tuesday will be 3,749.99 Turkish liras at 03.00 p.m. and 04.00 p.m. local time (1200 and 1300 GMT), according to official figures on Monday.

The lowest rate is determined as 2,249.98 liras at 06.00 a.m. local time (0300 GMT), the figures showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume on Monday's electricity market showed an increase of 10.7% to 1.64 billion liras compared to Sunday.

The arithmetical and weighted average electricity prices on the day-ahead spot market are calculated as 2,931.43 liras and 2,966.50 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour for Monday was set as 4,000 liras at 04.00 p.m. local time (1300 GMT), while the lowest rate is determined as 1,999.99 liras at 05.00 a.m. local time (0200 GMT), according to official figures.

US$1 equals 17.96 liras at 02.05 p.m. local time (1105 GMT) on Monday.
