Spot market electricity prices for Tuesday, Aug. 5

- Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data shows electricity market trade volume amounts to 2.35 billion Turkish liras

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye's day-ahead spot market for Tuesday will be 3,399 Turkish liras between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. (1600-1800 GMT), according to official figures released Monday.

The lowest rate was set at 2,125 liras at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume for Tuesday's electricity market shows an increase of 2.5% to around 2.35 billion liras compared to Monday.

The arithmetical and weighted average prices for electricity on the day-ahead spot market are calculated at 3,147.01 liras and 3,139.51 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price on the day-ahead spot market for one megawatt hour for Monday was set at 3,400 liras between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. (1600-1800 GMT), while the lowest was set at 2,538.38 liras at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), the data showed.

US$1 equals 40.68 liras at 2.12 p.m. local time (1112 GMT) on Monday.
