Spot market electricity prices for Tuesday, Aug. 12

- Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data shows electricity market trade volume amounts to 2.25 billion Turkish liras

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye's day-ahead spot market for Tuesday will be 3,399 Turkish liras between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m (1600-1800 GMT), according to official figures released Monday.

The lowest rate was set at 2,275 liras at 2 p.m. local time (1100 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume for Tuesday's electricity market shows a decrease of 4.2% to around 2.25 billion liras compared to Monday.

The arithmetical and weighted average prices for electricity on the day-ahead spot market are calculated at 3,017.3 liras and 3,012.24 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price on the day-ahead spot market for one megawatt hour for Monday was set at 3,400 Turkish liras between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m (1600-1800 GMT), while the lowest was set at 2,644.34 liras between 6 a.m. and 7 a.m. local time (0300-0400 GMT), the data showed.

US$1 equals 40.71 liras at 2 p.m. local time (1100 GMT) on Monday.
