Spot market electricity prices for Thursday, Oct. 16

- Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data shows electricity market trade volume amounts to 1.71 billion Turkish liras

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye's day-ahead spot market for Thursday will be 3,400 Turkish liras between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. local time (1400-1800 GMT), according to official figures released Wednesday.

The lowest rate was set at 501 liras at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for Thursday's electricity market trade volume shows a dcrease of 4.20% to around 1.71 billion liras compared to Wednesday.

The arithmetical and weighted average prices for electricity on the day-ahead spot market are calculated at 2,818.54 liras and 2,828.12 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price on the day-ahead spot market for one megawatt-hour for Wednesday was set at 3,399.98 Turkish liras at 6 p.m. local time (1500 GMT), while the lowest was at 780 liras at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), the data showed.

US$1 equals 41.83 liras at 2.18 p.m. local time (1118 GMT) on Wednesday.
