Spot market electricity prices for Thursday, Oct. 12

- Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data shows electricity market trade amounts to around 1.21 billion Turkish liras

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye's day-ahead spot market for Thursday will be 2,700 Turkish liras between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. local time (1400–1700 GMT), according to official figures on Wednesday.

The lowest rate was set at 1,612.00 liras at 4 a.m. local time (0100 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume for Thursday's electricity market shows an increase of 12.4% to around 1.21 billion liras compared to Wednesday.

The arithmetical and weighted average electricity prices on the day-ahead spot market are calculated as 2,369.46 liras and 2,380.56 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour for Wednesday was set at 2,699 liras at 5 p.m. local time (1400 GMT), while the lowest rate was determined at 1,324.99 liras at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT).

US$1 equals 27.73 liras at 2.10 p.m. local time (1110 GMT) on Wednesday.
