Spot market electricity prices for Thursday, Jan. 15

- Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data shows electricity market trade volume amounts to 2.02 billion Turkish liras

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye's day-ahead spot market for Thursday will be 3,400 Turkish liras between 8 a.m.-11 a.m. and between 4 p.m- 11 p.m. local time (0400-0800 and 1300-2000 GMT), according to official figures released Wednesday.

The lowest rate was set at 2,599.98 liras at 4 a.m. local time (0100 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for Thursday's electricity market trade volume showed a decrease of 4.8% to around 2.02 billion liras compared to Wednesday.

The arithmetical and weighted average prices for electricity on the day-ahead spot market are calculated at 3,137.71 liras and 3,137.98 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price on the day-ahead spot market for one megawatt-hour on Wednesday was set at 3,400 liras at between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m. local time (0400-1900 GMT), while the lowest was set at 2,599.99 liras at 3 a.m. local time (0000 GMT), the data showed.

US$1 equals 43.17 liras at 2.30 p.m. local time (1130 GMT) on Wednesday.
