Spot market electricity prices for Thursday, Feb. 22

- Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data shows electricity market trade amounts to around 1.70 billion Turkish liras

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye's day-ahead spot market for Thursday will be 2,700 Turkish liras at 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. local time (0500 and 0600 GMT), according to official figures on Wednesday.

The lowest rate was set at 2,000.01 liras at 4 a.m. local time (0100 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume for Thursday's electricity market shows an increase of 6.9% to around 1.70 billion liras compared to Wednesday.

The arithmetical and weighted average electricity prices on the day-ahead spot market are calculated as 2,349.70 liras and 2,363.69 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour for Wednesday was set at 2,699.89 liras at 6 p.m. local time (1500 GMT), while the lowest rate was determined as 1,424.14 liras at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT).

US$1 equals 30.98 liras at 2 p.m. local time (1100 GMT) on Wednesday.
