Spot market electricity prices for Thursday, Dec. 22

- Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data shows electricity market trade amounts to 2.07 billion Turkish liras

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye's day-ahead spot market for Thursday will be 4,800 Turkish liras between 7 a.m. and 11 a.m. (0400 - 0800 GMT) between 1 p.m. and 9 p.m. (1000-1800 GMT), according to official figures on Wednesday.

The lowest rate was set at 3,000 liras at 2 a.m. and 4 a.m. (2300-0100 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume on Wednesday's electricity market showed an increase of 1.36% to 2.07 billion liras compared to Tuesday.

The arithmetical and weighted average electricity prices on the day-ahead spot market are calculated as 4,372.12 liras and 4,420.15 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour for Wednesday was set as 4,800 Turkish liras between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m. (0500 - 1900 GMT), while the lowest rate was determined at 1,999.98. liras at 2 a.m. (2300 GMT), according to official figures.

US$1 equals 18.67 liras at 2.52 p.m. local time (1152 GMT) on Wednesday.
