Spot market electricity prices for Thursday, Dec. 11

- Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data shows electricity market trade volume amounts to 1.90 billion Turkish liras

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye's day-ahead spot market for Thursday will be 3,400 Turkish liras at 8 a.m., 9 a.m., between 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. local time (0500, 0600, 1100-1500 , 1800 GMT), according to official figures released Wednesday.

The lowest rate was set at 2,272.34 liras at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for Thursday's electricity market trade volume showed an increase of 2.1 to around 1.90 billion liras compared to Wednesday.

The arithmetical and weighted average prices for electricity on the day-ahead spot market are calculated at 3,015.34 liras and 3,047.85 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price on the day-ahead spot market for one megawatt-hour for Wednesday was set at 3,400 Turkish liras at 8 a.m., 9 a.m. and between 3 p.m. and 9 p.m. local time (0500, 0600, 1200-1800 GMT), while the lowest was set at 2,272.34 liras at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT), the data showed.

US$1 equals 42.60 liras at 2 p.m. local time (1100 GMT) on Wednesday.
