Spot market electricity prices for Thursday, Dec. 1

- Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data shows electricity market trade amounts to 1.9 billion Turkish liras

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye's day-ahead spot market for Thursday will be 4,800 Turkish liras between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m (1300 - 1400 GMT) , according to official figures on Wednesday.

The lowest rate was set at 1,999.98 liras at 3 a.m and 4.a.m. local time (0000 and 0100 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume on Wednesday's electricity market showed a decrease of 1.6% to 1.9 billion liras compared to Tuesday.

The arithmetical and weighted average electricity prices on the day-ahead spot market are calculated as 3,793.74 liras and 3,868.37 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour for Wednesday was set as 4,800 liras between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m (0500 - 0700 GMT) and between 4 p.m and 6 p.m. (1300 - 1500 GMT), while the lowest rate was determined at 1,625.80 liras at 4 a.m local time (0100 GMT), according to official figures.

US$1 equals 18.64 liras at 2.41 p.m. local time (1141 GMT) on Wednesday.
