Spot market electricity prices for Thursday, Aug. 21

- Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data shows electricity market trade volume amounts to 2.32 billion Turkish liras

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye's day-ahead spot market for Thursday will be 3,400 Turkish liras between 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. (1400-1900 GMT), according to official figures released Wednesday.

The lowest rate was set at 2,248 liras at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume for Wednesday's electricity market shows an increase of 1.2% to around 2.32 billion liras compared to Tuesday.

The arithmetical and weighted average prices for electricity on the day-ahead spot market are calculated at 3,140.36 and 3,134.84 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price on the day-ahead spot market for one megawatt hour for Wednesday was set at 3,400 liras between 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. (1500-1900 GMT), while the lowest was set at 2,249.99 liras at 10 a.m. local time (0700 GMT), the data showed.

US$1 equals 40.92 liras at 2.47 p.m. local time (1147 GMT) on Wednesday.
