Spot market electricity prices for Thursday, Aug. 14

- Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data shows electricity market trade volume amounts to 2.33 billion Turkish liras

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye's day-ahead spot market for Thursday will be 3,400 Turkish liras between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. (1600-1800 GMT), according to official figures released Wednesday.

The lowest rate was set at 2,585.01 liras at 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. local time (0900 and 1200 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume for Wednesday's electricity market shows an increase of 1.1% to around 2.33 billion liras compared to Tuesday.

The arithmetical and weighted average prices for electricity on the day-ahead spot market are calculated at 3,103.22 liras and 3,097.59 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price on the day-ahead spot market for one megawatt hour for Wednesday was set at 3,400 Turkish liras at 8 p.m. (1700 GMT), while the lowest was set at 2,319.81 liras at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), the data showed.

US$1 equals 40.73 liras at 2.39 p.m. local time (1139 GMT) on Wednesday.
