Spot market electricity prices for Sunday, Sept. 28

- Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data shows electricity market trade volume amounts to 1.2 billion Turkish liras

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye's day-ahead spot market for Sunday will be 3,400 Turkish liras between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. (1500 and 1800 GMT), according to official figures released Saturday.

The lowest rate was set at 0 liras at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume for Saturday’s electricity market shows a decrease of 12.9% to around 1.2 billion liras compared to Friday.

The arithmetical and weighted average prices for electricity on the day-ahead spot market are calculated at 2,048.39 liras and 2,092.74 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price on the day-ahead spot market for one megawatt-hour for Saturday was set at 3,400 Turkish liras at 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. (1400 and 1800 GMT), while the lowest was set at 230.91 liras at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), the data showed.

US$1 equals 41.58 liras at 2.18 p.m. local time (1118 GMT) on Saturday.
