Spot market electricity prices for Saturday, Jan. 6

- Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data shows electricity market trade amounts to around 1.10 billion Turkish liras

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye's day-ahead spot market for Saturday will be 2,700 Turkish liras between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. local time (0500 and 0600 GMT), according to official figures on Friday.

The lowest rate was set at 980 liras at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume for Saturday's electricity market shows a decrease of 23.1% to around 1.10 billion Turkish liras compared to Friday.

The arithmetical and weighted average electricity prices on the day-ahead spot market are calculated as 1,964.45 liras and 1,974.71 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour for Friday was set at 2,700 Turkish liras between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. local time (1400 and 1500 GMT), while the lowest rate was determined as 1,349.99 liras at 12 a.m. local time (2100 GMT).

US$1 equals 29.84 liras at 2.00 p.m. local time (1100 GMT) on Friday.
