Spot market electricity prices for Saturday, Jan. 10

- Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data shows electricity market trade volume amounts to 1.69 billion Turkish liras

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye's day-ahead spot market for Friday will be 3,400 Turkish liras between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. (0500-0700 GMT), according to official figures released Friday.

The lowest rate was set at 1,400 liras at 2 p.m. local time (1100 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for Friday's electricity market trade volume showed a decrease of 18.3% to around 1.69 billion liras compared to Thursday.

The arithmetical and weighted average prices for electricity on the day-ahead spot market are calculated at 2,727.92 liras and 2,735.21 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price on the day-ahead spot market for one megawatt-hour for Friday was set at 3,400 liras liras between 7 a.m. and 11 a.m., and between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. (0400-0800 GMT and 1300-1500 GMT), while the lowest was set at 2,499.98 liras at 1 a.m. local time (2200 GMT), the data showed.

US$1 equals 43.10 liras at 2.15 p.m. local time (1115 GMT) on Friday.
