Spot market electricity prices for Saturday, Feb. 25

- Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data shows electricity market trade amounts to 1.28 billion Turkish liras

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye's day-ahead spot market for Saturday will be 3,650 Turkish liras at 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. (0500 and 0600 GMT), according to official figures on Friday.

The lowest rate was set at 1,499.98 liras at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. (1000 and 1200 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume on Friday's electricity market showed an decrease of 8.16% to 1.28 billion liras compared to Thursday.

The arithmetical and weighted average electricity prices on the day-ahead spot market are calculated as 2,713.73 liras and 2,712.81 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour for Friday was set as 3,650 liras between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. (0500 - 0700 GMT) and between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. (1400 - 1700 GMT), while the lowest rate was determined at 2,376.99 liras at 3 a.m. (0000 GMT), according to official figures.

US$1 equals 18.88 liras at 2.15 p.m. local time (1115 GMT) on Friday.
