Spot market electricity prices for Saturday, Feb. 21

- Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data shows electricity market trade volume amounts to 858.98 million Turkish liras

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye's day-ahead spot market for Saturday will be 3,245.99 Turkish liras at 6 p.m. local time (1500 GMT), according to official figures released Friday.

The lowest rate was set at 171.01 liras at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for Saturday's electricity market trade volume showed an increase of 14.2% to around 858.98 million liras compared to Friday.

The arithmetical and weighted average prices for electricity on the day-ahead spot market are calculated at 1,492.71 liras and 1,530.90 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price on the day-ahead spot market for one megawatt-hour for Friday was set at 3,300 liras at 6 p.m. local time (1500 GMT), while the lowest was set at 0 liras between 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. local time (0900-1100 GMT), the data showed.

US$1 equals 43.84 liras at 2 p.m. local time (1100 GMT) on Friday.
