Spot market electricity prices for Saturday, Dec. 27

- Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data shows electricity market trade volume amounts to 1.90 billion Turkish liras

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye's day-ahead spot market for Saturday will be 3,400.00 Turkish liras at 12 a.m., 1 a.m., between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m., at 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. local time (2100, 2200 GMT on Friday, between 0500-0800 GMT, 1400 and 1800 GMT), according to official figures released Friday.

The lowest rate was set at 2,267.25 Turkish liras at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for Friday's electricity market trade volume showed a decrease of 12% to around 1.90 billion Turkish liras compared to Thursday.

The arithmetical and weighted average prices for electricity on the day-ahead spot market are calculated at 3,071.84 Turkish liras and 3,085.55 Turkish liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price on the day-ahead spot market for one megawatt-hour for Friday was set at 3,400.00 Turkish liras between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m., between 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. local time (0500-0800, 1100-1600, 1800 GMT), while the lowest was set at 2,499.99 Turkish liras at 4 a.m. local time (0100 GMT), the data showed.

US$1 equals 42.92 liras at 2.33 p.m. local time (1133 GMT) on Friday.
