Spot market electricity prices for Saturday, Aug. 23

- Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data shows electricity market trade volume amounts to 2.22 billion Turkish liras

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye's day-ahead spot market for Saturday will be 3,400 Turkish liras applying between 12 a.m.–3 a.m., at 7 a.m., and from 7 p.m.–10 p.m. (2100–0000, 0400, and 1600–1900 GMT), according to official figures released Friday.

The lowest rate was set at 1,900 liras at 2 p.m. local time (1100 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume for Friday's electricity market shows a decrease of 9.4% to around 2.22 billion liras compared to Thursday.

The arithmetical and weighted average prices for electricity on the day-ahead spot market are calculated at 3,113.66 and 3,106.37 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price on the day-ahead spot market for one megawatt hour for Friday was set at 3,400 Turkish liras at 12 a.m., 1 a.m., 8 a.m. and between 4 p.m. and 11 p.m. (2100, 2200, 0500, and 1300-2000 GMT), while the lowest was set at 2,010.01 liras at 1 p.m. local time (1000 GMT), the data showed.

US$1 equals 41.01 liras at 2.27 p.m. local time (1127 GMT) on Friday.
