Spot market electricity prices for Monday, Jan. 26

- Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data shows electricity market trade volume amounts to 1.77 billion liras

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye's day-ahead spot market for Monday will be 3,400 Turkish liras at 8 a.m., 9 a.m., and between 4 p.m.- 7 p.m. local time (0500, 0600, and between 1300-1600 GMT), according to official figures released Sunday.

The lowest rate was set at 1,642.69 liras at 11 p.m. local time (2000 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for Sunday's electricity market trade volume showed an increase of 12.5% to around 1.77 billion liras compared to Saturday.

The arithmetical and weighted average prices for electricity on the day-ahead spot market are calculated at 2,773.81 liras and 2,792.94 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price on the day-ahead spot market for one megawatt-hour for Sunday was set at 3,400 Turkish liras between 5 p.m.- 7 p.m. local time (1400-1600 GMT), while the lowest was 1,000 liras at 2 a.m. local time (1100 GMT), the data showed.

US$1 equals 43.36 liras at 2.12 p.m. local time (1112 GMT) on Sunday.
