Spot market electricity prices for Monday, Dec. 29

- Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data shows electricity market trade volume amounts to 2.03 billion Turkish liras

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye's day-ahead spot market for Monday will be 3,400.00 Turkish liras between 8 a.m.- 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. local time (0500-0800 and 1300-1600 GMT), according to official figures released Sunday.

The lowest rate was set at 2,300 Turkish liras at 1 a.m. local time (2200 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for Monday's electricity market trade volume showed an increase of 37.9% to around 2.03 billion Turkish liras compared to Sunday.

The arithmetical and weighted average prices for electricity on the day-ahead spot market are calculated at 3,088 Turkish liras and 3,136.71 Turkish liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price on the day-ahead spot market for one megawatt-hour for Sunday was set at 3,400.00 Turkish liras at between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. local time (1400-1800 GMT), while the lowest was set at 1,263.63 Turkish liras at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), the data showed.

US$1 equals 42.82 liras at 2.16 p.m. local time (1116 GMT) on Sunday.
