Spot market electricity prices for Monday, Aug. 4

- Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data shows electricity market trade volume amounts to 2.29 billion Turkish liras

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye's day-ahead spot market for Monday will be 3,400 Turkish liras between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. (1600-1800 GMT) according to official figures released Sunday.

The lowest rate was set at 2,538.38 liras at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume for Monday's electricity market shows an increase of 33.4% to around 2.29 billion liras compared to Sunday.

The arithmetical and weighted average prices for electricity on the day-ahead spot market are calculated at 3,204.68 liras and 3,203.06 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price on the day-ahead spot market for one megawatt hour for Sunday was set at 3,399.01 Turkish liras at 12 a.m., 8 p.m., and 9 p.m. (2100,1700, and 1800 GMT), while the lowest was set at 1,395.89 liras at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), the data showed.

US$1 equals 40.64 liras at 2.00 p.m. local time (1100 GMT) on Sunday.
