Spot market electricity prices for Friday, May 30

- Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data shows electricity market trade volume amounts to 1.69 billion Turkish liras

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye's day-ahead spot market for Friday will be 3,400 Turkish liras at 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. local time (1700, 1800 GMT), according to official figures released on Thursday.

The data showed that the lowest rate is set at 1,399.99 liras at 1 p.m. local time (1000 GMT).

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume for Thursday's electricity market shows a decrease of 8% to around 1.69 billion liras compared to Wednesday.

The arithmetical and weighted average prices for electricity on the day-ahead spot market are calculated at 2,813.21 liras and 2,814.54 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price on the day-ahead spot market for one megawatt hour for Wednesday was set at 3,400 Turkish liras at 8 a.m., 5 p.m. and between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. local time (0500, 1400 and 1600-1800 GMT), while the lowest was set at 1,790 liras at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT).

US$1 equals 39.11 liras at 2.25 p.m. local time (1125 GMT) on Thursday.
