Spot market electricity prices for Friday, March 3

- Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data shows electricity market trade amounts to 1.26 billion Turkish liras

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye's day-ahead spot market for Friday will be 3,050 Turkish liras at 8 a.m. and 9 a.m., and between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m (0500, 0600 GMT, and 1500 - 1700 GMT), according to official figures on Thursday.

The lowest rate was set at 1,999.99 liras between 2 a.m. and 3.a.m. (2300 - 0000 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume on Thursday's electricity market showed an increase of 7.81% to 1.26 billion liras compared to Wednesday.

The arithmetical and weighted average electricity prices on the day-ahead spot market are calculated as 2,504.37 liras and 2,532.34 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour for Tuesday was set as 2,959.98 liras at 9 a.m. (0600 GMT), while the lowest rate was determined as 2,000 liras between 2 a.m. and 4.a.m. and at 12 p.m. (1200 - 0100 GMT, and 0900 GMT), according to official figures.

US$1 equals 18.88 liras at 2.12 p.m. local time (1112 GMT) on Thursday.
