Spot market electricity prices for Friday, July 25

- Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data shows electricity market trade volume amounts to 2.34 billion Turkish liras

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye's day-ahead spot market for Friday will be 3,400 Turkish liras at 5 p.m., 8 p.m., and 9 p.m. local time (1400, 1700, 1800 GMT), according to official figures released Thursday.

The lowest rate was set at 2,150 liras at 6 a.m. local time (0300 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume for Thursday's electricity market shows an increase of 1.2% to around 2.34 billion liras compared to Wednesday.

The arithmetical and weighted average prices for electricity on the day-ahead spot market are calculated at 3,110.76 liras and 3,122.84 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price on the day-ahead spot market for one megawatt hour for Thursday was set at 3,400 Turkish liras at 12 a.m. and between 4 p.m. and 10 p.m. local time (2100 GMT, 1300-1900 GMT), while the lowest was set at 2,350 liras at 6 a.m. local time (0300 GMT).

US$1 equals 40.45 liras at 2.12 p.m. local time (1112 GMT) on Thursday.
