Spot market electricity prices for Friday, Feb. 20

- Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data shows electricity market trade volume amounts to 752.3 million Turkish liras

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye's day-ahead spot market for Friday will be 3,300 Turkish liras at 6 p.m. local time (1500 GMT), according to official figures released Thursday.

The lowest rate was set at 0 liras between 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. local time (0900-1100 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for Friday's electricity market trade volume showed a decrease of 48% to around 752.3 million liras compared to Thursday.

The arithmetical and weighted average prices for electricity on the day-ahead spot market are calculated at 1,296.79 liras and 1,269.71 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price on the day-ahead spot market for one megawatt-hour for Thursday was set at 3,400 liras between 6 a.m. and 9 a.m., and between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m local time (1300-1600 and 1400-1600 GMT), while the lowest was set at 317.41 liras at 2 p.m. local time (1100 GMT), the data showed.

US$1 equals 43.77 liras at 2.26 p.m. local time (1126 GMT) on Thursday.
