Spot market electricity prices for Friday, Dec. 5

- Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data shows electricity market trade volume amounts to 1.7 billion Turkish liras

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye's day-ahead spot market for Friday will be 3,400 Turkish liras at 8 a.m., 9 a.m., 4 p.m., and 5 p.m. local time (0500, 0600, 1300, and 1400 GMT), according to official figures released Thursday.

The lowest rate was set at 1,719.98 liras at 11 p.m. local time (2000 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for Friday's electricity market trade volume showed a decrease of 11.4% to around 1.7 billion liras compared to Thursday.

The arithmetical and weighted average prices for electricity on the day-ahead spot market are calculated at 3,161.64 liras and 3,176.63 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price on the day-ahead spot market for one megawatt-hour for Thursday was set at 3,400 Turkish liras between 7 and 9 a.m., and between 3 and 6 p.m. local time (0400-0600 and 1200-1500 GMT), while the lowest was at 2,687.33 liras at 3 and 4 a.m. local time (0000, 0100 GMT), the data showed.

US$1 equals 42.45 liras at 2.26 p.m. local time (1126 GMT) on Thursday.
