Spot market electricity prices for Friday, April 19

- Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data shows electricity market trade amounts to around 1.46 billion Turkish liras

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye's day-ahead spot market for Friday will be 2,700 Turkish liras at 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. local time (1600 and 1700 GMT), according to official figures on Thursday.

The lowest rate was set at 1,498.98 liras at 1 p.m. local time (1000 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume for Thursday's electricity market shows an increase of 35.6% to around 1.46 billion liras compared to Wednesday.

The arithmetical and weighted average electricity prices on the day-ahead spot market are calculated as 2,340.26 liras and 2,344.80 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour for Thursday was set at 2,700 liras at 7 p.m., 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. local time (1600, 1700 and 1800 GMT), while the lowest rate was determined as 250.01 liras at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT).

US$1 equals 32.51 liras at 2 p.m. local time (1100 GMT) on Thursday.
