Turkey's daily power consumption up 15.5% on June 22

- Turkey's electricity exports amount to 854 megawatt-hours, while imports total 12,725 megawatt-hours

Turkey's daily electricity consumption increased by 15.5% to 767,895 megawatt-hours on Monday, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Tuesday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 17.00 local time with 36,720 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 24,694 megawatt-hours at 07.00 local time.

Total electricity production reached 756,024 megawatt-hours on Monday, marking a 15.6% increase compared to the previous day.

The majority of the output came from imported coal plants at 198,625 megawatt-hours. Hydroelectricity and lignite plants followed with 169,404 megawatt-hours and 125,742 megawatt-hours, respectively.

On Monday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 854 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 12,725 megawatt-hours.
