Turkey's daily power consumption up 0.7% on June 26

- Turkey's electricity exports amount to 4,176 megawatt-hours, while imports total 10,180 megawatt-hours

Turkey's daily electricity consumption increased by 0.7% to 813,707 megawatt-hours on Friday, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Saturday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 17.00 local time with 37,411 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 27,983 megawatt-hours at 07.00 local time.

Total electricity production reached 807,703 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking a 0.89% increase compared to the previous day.

The majority of the output came from imported coal plants at 191,818 megawatt-hours. Hydroelectricity and lignite plants followed with 154,111 megawatt-hours and 125,731 megawatt-hours, respectively.

On Friday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 4,176 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 10,180 megawatt-hours.
