Turkey's daily electricity consumption increased by 0.29% to 905,672 megawatt-hours on Wednesday, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Thursday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 12.00 local time with 43,381 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest point of 29,714 megawatt-hours at 05.00.
Total electricity production reached 902,343 megawatt-hours on Wednesday with a 0.44% increase compared to the previous day.
The majority of the output came from imported coal plants at 210,315 megawatt-hours. Natural gas and hydroelectricity plants followed with 206,827 megawatt-hours and 201,916 megawatt-hours, respectively.
On Wednesday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 8,511 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 11,839 megawatt-hours.
