Turkey's daily power consumption down 0.44% on Oct. 4

- Turkey’s electricity exports amount to 8,457 megawatt-hours, while imports reach 3,668 megawatt-hours on Friday

Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 0.44% to 780,937 megawatt-hours on Friday, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Saturday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 20.00 local time with 36,780 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed.

The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest daily point of 27,328 megawatt-hours at 05.00 local time.

Electricity production totaled 785,726 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking a 0.55% decrease compared to the previous day.

The majority of the output came from imported coal plants totaling 199,914 megawatt-hours. Natural gas and lignite followed with 164,616 megawatt-hours and 141,625 megawatt-hours, respectively.

Also on Friday, Turkey’s electricity exports amounted to 8,457 megawatt-hours, while imports reached 3,668 megawatt-hours.
