The Turkish benchmark stock index closed Monday at 9,029.38 points, down 0.9% from the previous close.
The BIST 100 index had started the day at 9,113.27 points, losing 82.1 points from Friday's close.
The lowest value of the index for the day was 9,029.38, while its daily high was 9,336.02.
Some 34 indices increased in value by the end of the day, while 66 declined.
The total transaction volume reached 51 billion Turkish liras ($1.58 billion), while the overall value of the index was 7.468 trillion liras ($240.3 billion).
The USD/TRY exchange rate was 32.1515 as of 18.05 p.m. (1505GMT), the EUR/TRY rate stood at 34.8680, while the GBP/TRY traded at 40.6470.
The price of one ounce of gold was $2,176.85, while the barrel price of Brent oil was around $86.95.
